When Is a Painting Finished?

It can be difficult to know when a painting is finished, particularly with abstract work - because ultimately it’s your emotional and intellectual intent for the piece that determines whether or not it’s complete, and in fact “whole.” In this video, I take you through a photo journal of several iterations of two paintings and my thinking about each phase including where they are now. How do you know if your work is finished?
